Trail Overview
This 1.9-mile trail spur is a scenic and easy access road, designed for fast transit to one of the high country's primary ridgeline overlooks. The road is a clear two-track with a smooth, firm base of packed dirt and loose gravel, ideal for efficient travel (confirmed by the quick 15-minute drive time). The trail traverses a portion of the 2020 Creek Wildfire burn zone, but the canopy has largely survived, offering ample shade and making it feel less exposed than neighboring routes. There are a few level dispersed camping sites along this trail. At an elevation above 8,000 feet this trail is best visited in Summer and Fall.

Difficulty
This trail is a clear, wide two-track, composed of smooth, packed dirt and occasional patches of loose gravel. It is suitable for all passenger vehicles when dry, requiring no technical 4WD skills. The rating is assigned conservatively due to the occasional presence of scattered embedded rock and loose gravel that requires high clearance for sustained comfort and to maintain momentum during the brief, gentle climb. Overall, it's a very low-stress route designed for quick access.
