Trail Overview
Eagle (FS 27S13) branches off Brown's Mill and winds through dense pine trees and grasses within Sequoia National Forest. Shelf road sections break open the canopy at intervals, revealing views of the mountains and valley below before the forest closes back in. Hawks and ground birds, including quail, are frequently spotted along this corridor.

Difficulty
Eagle is a notably bumpy trail throughout. Frequent ruts, off-camber sections, and drainage humps appear consistently along the route, all under 12 inches, and rarely let up from start to finish. The combination of obstacles in quick succession makes this more demanding than a typical Rating 3, despite no single crux moment. High clearance is recommended to navigate the drainage humps and ruts cleanly.
