Trail Overview
This forest road starts off being gravel-based, but transitions to dirt about halfway through. The trail gradually climbs in the beginning with some ledges, then levels out quite a bit. You will travel through an old, burnt forest area, and the trail dead ends into overgrown and downed trees. There are minor ruts and wash, but they should be no problem for any vehicle type. Towards the end of the dirt area, the trail had muddy areas that were soggy. 4x4 is recommended for this trail. There is a US Forestry feeder and game camera along this trail, so expect to see some wildlife. Camping is available along this route, and there are some pull-out areas large enough to car camp. There are no amenities, no cell phone service, and you are approximately 45 minutes from the closest services.
