Trail Overview

Take some time to get away from the city and escape to the hills with this quick, rocky run. Stop for a picnic at Mine Creek, or take a shooting break in one of the large pullouts off the road. This road will be covered in snow during early spring and late fall, but is a great place to explore the woods, have a bonfire, and find the occasional view in summer. Don't bother making your way over or around the landslide in a full size vehicle, as the road is quite overgrown. After Mine Creek, you will have to make your way around a sharp turn that is heavily eroded with large, loose rocks and presents the most difficult obstacle of the road.

Difficulty

The overall trail is easy enough for a high clearance vehicle. Rocks and ledges up to 12" can be avoided or rolled over at an angle.

The lower trail has been logged and gates have been installed. From the gatekeeper obstacle (3 foot hump) the trail is pretty much as it was last year, mostly small loose, sharp rocks. Air down in logged area and you'll be fine. Potential for pinstripping is high.

Pretty good trail. No complaints about the trail, even though it was hella rocky and I wish I had aired down. I did an Austin powers turn around at the major switchback/creek crossing as it was starting to get pretty snowy/slushy and I was riding solo and didn’t have a winch. Really my only complaint was all of the trash at the shooting areas. I made sure to fill up my trasharoo before heading back

Very slippery, even in 4WD with a locker. Ability to slide off the cliff and had to turn around at one point, but a fun trail overall. Tons of snow and mud, a few water crossings

Rough in spots. Had to go slow. Slush/ice higher up. A good afternoon, overall.
