Trail Overview
This Colville National Forest road starts gravel-based, then transitions to dirt. You will gradually climb, and some sections will have ledges with small drop-offs. There are some ruts and washouts in sections, but they are less than a foot deep and should cause no issue for any vehicle type. The road narrows and becomes a two-track for the majority, with overgrown vegetation. You may pick up a scratch or two in a full-size rig, but you will be rewarded with views in the dense forest and of the surrounding ridges and rock faces. This trail ends at an earth barrier, and the trail goes no further due to washout. Camping is available along this entire trail, and there are several dispersed campites, some with pre-existing fire rings. The cell phone service was decent near the end/top of the trail; there are no amenities along the trail. You are approximately 20 minutes from the City of Kettle Falls, Washington, at the start of this trail, where you will find the closest services and supplies. Any vehicle should be able to traverse this trail.
