Trail Overview

French Cabin Creek runs through the Wenatchee National Forest. It is a gravel road with washboard sections and steep gradual inclines. There is an abundant amount of camping. Right after the bridge, you will find a large dispersed campground in French Cabin Creek Recreation Area. It is on either side of the road, with areas so large you could have as many friends as you wanted and huge RVs can fit, be mindful that even though there are fire pits this area is a no-fire zone. Getting into the area does have very large potholes, and during the rainy season, it can have huge water puddles. As you continue up the road you will find that it becomes overgrown at the end and eventually stops at an intersection of two older overgrown roads.
