Trail Overview
This is a fantastic trail that's genuinely fun to drive, offering a relaxed yet engaging experience from start to finish. When the leaves are down, the views open up beautifully, making this a particularly scenic ride during the cooler months. The trail features 10 campsites, nearly all situated right along the creek, with one additional site located on a short offshoot beside a waterfall. Campsites range from small, intimate spots to larger clearings that can comfortably accommodate multiple vehicles. A few short offshoots add extra character and optional challenges along the way. One side trail includes a water crossing for those who can navigate through the trees and a steep drop. Another offshoot leads to a small rock garden that's perfect for first-timers looking to try a mild obstacle, with an easy bypass available that still allows access to the campsite near the waterfall. The main trail itself is a well-maintained, mostly dirt road. Although it's one lane, there's ample space to pass other vehicles, making it feel approachable and low-stress. There are a few small ruts, and one hill that is a little steeper than normal Georgia Forest Service roads. This makes it an excellent beginner-friendly trail and a great place for stock off-road vehicles to get their first taste of introductory challenges. It also works beautifully as part of a full-day ride, pairing well with nearby trails like Duncan Ridge and others in the area. This trail is open year-round.
