Trail Overview
National Forest Service Trail 9610 is an out-and-back off-road trail. Located just west of US-131, this route is readily accessible. This trail is very easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand, grass, and dirt. The trail dead-ends with a small turnaround where you can park to start a hike or go horseback riding. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is an interesting trail!
