Trail Overview

This is a gravel forest road in Colville National Forest. The trail is gravel-based and hard-packed, making it relatively smooth and suitable for all vehicle types. There is minor washboard in some areas, but other than that, it winds and steadily climbs over 1,000 feet in elevation. This trail ends at a parking area for the Barnaby Buttes hiking trailhead. There are dense forest views, occasional views of surrounding peaks, and camping throughout the entire trail. Cell phone service was weak, and there were no amenities along the trail. Travel with all needed supplies, as the nearest services and supplies are about 30-35 minutes away in Kettle Falls, Washington.
