Old Stagecoach Road

Trail Overview

This trail runs parallel to the Arkansas River and is a popular spot for fishing or just an afternoon in the water. Behind it lies Highway 24, which connects Leadville and Buena Vista. From this trail, you can see stunning views of the Mosquito Mountain Range and the Mount Massive Wilderness and enjoy some peace and quiet just minutes from civilization.

Difficulty

This trail is only slightly more advanced than a standard country road. It is mostly dirt, with one section of gravel and some slightly narrow spots adjacent to the water. Any stock vehicle should be able to handle this with ease.
