Trail Overview
Joshua East Trail immediately starts up a hill from the north, climbing over 430 feet in just under 2 miles. The trail meanders through a series of small, rather beautiful hills, with a surface made up of loose pumice-like sand with some loose and embedded rocks. As you climb out of the small canyon, you're treated to nice views of the Eastern Sierra Mountains and the Red Rock Canyon State Park Mountains. However, be advised that you are driving on a shelf road and must keep an eye on the road. Airing down and four-wheel drive are highly recommended.
