Trail Overview
This 1.5-mile trail (3 miles out and back) climbs over 200 feet, starting on Levee Road. The surface is sandy and features lots of trees and brush to maneuver around, with some sections pretty tight that may pinstripe wider vehicles. The trail gets less and less used as you go on and becomes narrower as you progress. The route takes you in and out of the wash a few times, going over edges up to 18 inches tall that add technical challenge. At mile 1.0, it comes out of the main wash, and the surface transitions to more hard-packed sand. Right before the end, it climbs out of the wash onto a plateau above along a cliff edge, though the trail ramp coming out of the wash is severely damaged at this point due to deep runoff ruts.

Difficulty
The sandy surface, tight sections through vegetation, and edges up to 18 inches tall require four wheel drive and careful navigation. The severely damaged ramp at the end with deep runoff ruts is a significant challenge that may require spotting or alternate lines. The narrow, less-used sections demand attention. Airing down is recommended for the sandy terrain and the technical obstacles.
