Trail Overview
This short single vehicle-width trail connects the Oriflamme Canyon Loop trail with Highway S2, allowing vehicles to enter/exit the Oriflamme Canyon area from the eastern side. It is primarily a dirt road that winds through and around a sandy wash. There are also occasional large rocks that are easily avoidable along the sides of the route. A 2WD vehicle with moderate clearance should be able to manage this trail without issue unless significant rainfall has caused the ground to become saturated and muddy, especially in the main wash section. Since it crosses through the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, only street-legal vehicles are allowed and should remain on the main trail path to avoid damaging plants and wildlife. Cellular phone service in this area is generally weak, and there are no restrooms or potable water sources nearby. Please TREAD LIGHTLY and Pack-it-Out.
