Route Details Include:

  • Drop the 22 switchbacks of the Kleinschmidt Grade through Hells Canyon to the Snake River 3,000 feet below. 
  • Explore the Oregon Desert, where the minimal water flowing here never makes it to the sea, instead terminating in lakes and basins like Lake Albert, a vital stop for migrating birds.
  • Watch out for logging trucks in the fern-filled temperate rainforest of the Coast Mountain Range and finish (or start!) in the classic Oregon beach town of Florence.
