Trail Overview

This trail works its way through a high desert wash. It starts with a tight section where the draw narrows and a rocky overhang presents the possibility of body damage to high center of gravity vehicles. The trail continues through the wash where a variety of large boulders present challenging obstacles for those daring enough to attempt them, luckily the largest of the challenges have alternate routes available. The path winds its way through the draw and then comes out on top of a lion's back that provides stunning views of the surrounding area and down into the town of Thermopolis. The town is only a few miles away and it is an easy drive to the trail. This route is easily completed in a full Rock Crawler but is a great route to challenge a full body rig on 35s and at least one locker. The trail is open to all vehicles and is on BLM land so is open year-round to everyone without additional permitting.
