At 7.3 miles, RH 10 is a long, easy trail that serves as one of the main access routes from the Rock House staging area--expect to see other riders. The trail follows a pipeline through scenic, lush forest with wide sections, shallow ruts, switchbacks, puddles, and occasional minor rock or uneven ground. It features a shelfy style along the hillside with views of mossy rock walls, making it a pleasant ride. RH 10 connects with multiple other trails along the way and ends at RH 33 and RH 18, offering similarly easy riding.

Access Description

The staging area for the Rock House Trail System within Hatfield-McCoy is in the town of Man, West Virginia, with over 100 miles of trail. It has a 2-acre parking lot with restrooms and permit sales. Permits can only be purchased from local vendors or at trailhead facilities, and are valid until December 31st of that year. There is food, fuel, and lodging in the towns of Man and Gilbert. Overnight camping is not allowed at the trailheads, but there are numerous RV resorts, hotels, and restaurants available in the nearby small towns. The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System spans seven counties and ten trailheads in southern West Virginia through terrain rooted in the region's rich coal mining history.
