IR 55

Trail Overview

Trail 55 is a 0.7-mile easy route that winds through the forest with wide, shallow ruts and large mud puddles that often span the width of the trail. The path features smooth, sweeping corners and passes through the intersection with Trail 84 before becoming shelfy along the hillside, offering views out over the edge. It serves as an easy connector and access point to the more difficult Trail 84. The north end meets Trail 54 at the top of the descending switchbacks.

Difficulty

This is an easy SxS route with steep spots, ruts, and embedded rock, but it is great for riders of all skill levels. Note that this is considered More Difficult by Hatfield McCoy's rating system.
