Trail Overview
While designated as dirt bike-only, both entrances to Trail 165 are lacking the trail designation signs, making the start appear accessible to larger vehicles, and thus widening the route to look more like a two-track. When making a counter-clockwise loop, the trail begins as an easy, wide path winding through the trees, with scattered small downed branches. As it progresses, the tree gaps narrow and the trail constricts near a rocky hill climb featuring both embedded and loose large rocks. This leads into an extended rock garden filled with moss-covered boulders, creating slick, technical conditions. The rocks persist through several turns, requiring deliberate line choice--more in the style of hard enduro riding. The trail then smooths out briefly through tighter forest sections, followed by steep, technical hills with embedded rock, shelves, and small drop-offs. As the loop nears its end, it opens up again, though several downed logs remain as potential obstacles.

Difficulty
This is an upper intermediate single track because it has moderate rock and root obstacles that are slick and technical, with a notable rock garden section.
