DA 99

Trail Overview

DA 99 begins with a steep entrance off DA 35 and follows a narrower shelf trail alongside dense bushes and trees on a mossy hillside. Right away, the trail becomes challenging with a steep hill climb scattered with large loose flat rocks, a deep rut along one side, and an off-camber pitch that can be tricky--especially in wet conditions where the mud becomes slick and greasy. There's a small turnaround point about halfway in before the toughest section. The climb continues steeply with deep ruts up to a boulder awkwardly positioned near the top, making this a short but technical route best attempted by experienced riders in dry weather.

This is an intermediate SxS route in dry conditions, but the ruts and steep ascent can become significantly more difficult in wet conditions. The trail has deep ruts and a few embedded boulders on a steep hill climb.
