Trail Overview
Trail 28 begins at the intersection with Trail 27 and climbs up to the "Razor Ridge," offering a scenic ride along the mountain's ridge. The trail is occasionally troughed and rutted, winding through trees with some roots, sticks, and mud puddles, but remains generally easy for the first mile. The path can be narrower between trees. After about a mile, the trail descends off the ridge, paralleling a ravine where loose rock becomes more common. It then doubles back on the loop back west, with a significantly more difficult quarter-mile section near the end of the trail. This part, considered Most Difficult by the park, features a steep ravine with loose rock, tight lines, logs, and a narrower, more technical surface. Trail 28 finishes at the intersection with Trail 26 (Razor Bypass).
