OP 49

Trail Overview

OP 49 is a short, gradually climbing trail that starts out easy on the east end, cut into a hillside through a logged area with smooth dirt, shallow ruts, and open views. It curves along the slope, passing a few intersections before transitioning into denser woods with full tree cover. The surface becomes slightly more varied with scattered loose rock as it winds north to a scenic overlook where it meets OP 53. The last bit of trail descends down to OP 6 on a steeper, more rutted path.

Difficulty

This is an easy route with a bit of loose rock, ruts, and steep grades, but is ideal for all skill levels. This is considered Moderate by Spearhead's rating system.
