Trail Overview
OP 14 (Part 2) is a 1.6-mile access corridor that continues from OP 86 and leads riders toward the eastern half of the Original Pocahontas trail system. The route follows a shelf path cut into the hillsides, winding along ridges and curving around forested slopes before dropping to the valley floor at its junction with OP 22. Along the way, drivers will encounter a few steeper climbing sections with minor ruts and loose rock, though the trail remains easy overall. Near the intersection with OP 22, the trail dips into a wet stream bed with more pronounced embedded rock layers, adding some texture and interest without significantly increasing difficulty.
