Clifton Farm Road takes you through the beautiful farmland of Southwest Virginia. This easy, two-track gravel road winds through the oldest continuously operated cattle ranch in the United States, with roots tracing back to 1774. The ranch offers rich scenery and up-close views of the roaming cattle. Livestock and wildlife are abundant along this trail. You can run the trail in either direction; just be courteous of oncoming traffic. Please note that cell service can be limited.

History
Stuart Land & Cattle Company is the oldest continuously operated cattle ranch in the United States, with roots tracing back to 1774 when the land was granted to Henry Smith II. Formally established in 1884 by William Alexander Stuart, it is a historic, family-run operation that has grown to manage over 16,000 acres across several counties and is known for its Angus and Simmental cattle.
