Trail Overview

CC101 begins on the east end with a wide, shelfy descent along an open hillside featuring embedded and loose rock, sun exposure, and expansive views. The trail rolls gently over small hills and passes oil and gas sites, with flat embedded rock adding some variety. As it continues west, the route enters a wooded ridgeline with slightly steeper grades, gradual corners, and light ruts. It connects the Coal Canyon trail system to the Ridgeview trail system, continuing all the way to trail RV1. Overall, CC101 is a moderate trail with scenic variety and a mix of open and forested terrain.
