Trail Overview

Leave just outside of the town of Wallsburg. The trail goes to Strawberry Peak with views of Deer Creek and Strawberry Reservoir. Ride to Twin Peaks and the tower, then head down to Daniel's Summit Lodge. It's a good stop for restrooms, snacks, or lunch at the restaurant. The trail returns to Wallsburg.

This is a mountain trail with a little of everything but a lot of rocky terrain. Airdown is a must or you’ll ruin a tire. Very little technical at all beyond some off-camber and trench-like rut avoidance. There are a few water crossings and couple short runs right up a creek bed. One with water & the other without. The scenery is beautiful. We were running out of daylight so we took the Strawberry Mountain “shortcut” & made it out before dark. It’s a new favorite trail.

Running the loop clockwise, very narrow at the start with lots of loose rocky sections. Nothing difficult for a stock Tacoma on 33’s, but definitely got some trail stripes from the overgrowth on narrow sections. Saw a few Jeeps and side by sides. Didn’t complete the loop, had to drop out early near Daniel’s Summit for the sake of time. Fun trail, will return.
