Trail Overview
This trail is short but has some features that make it worth the quick trip. The trail splits off of Smelter Knolls East and heads West to the South side of the knoll, where it then enters the wash and heads a short distance up it. Longer and wider vehicles may have trouble turning around where the trail ends in the wash. Along this trail, you get a closer look at some of the unique rock formations of the knoll, as well as there being a couple of good photo opportunities for your rig. This trail is open year-round but may be impassible due to snow or mud during the year. Use caution at the end of the trail, and if it is raining heavily, do not enter or approach the wash as it may be flooded and could create dangerous conditions.
