Trail Overview

This 1.3-mile trail completes the Upper Enigma Trail, running to the north through the wash. It's a soft sandy wash with tight turns and evidence of erosion from high spring runoff. After a big rain, this wash will have water in it. There are some rocks in the wash in areas, but no obstacles to speak of. An easy ride in a beautiful red sand setting. Some of the corners are banked perfectly for a bit of fun. And there are trails that exit and enter the wash along its length. We have drone footage of this trail on our YouTube channel. If you're interested in seeing that, the channel is LauraWoods3466. I put a screenshot in the photos to help you recognize the YouTube channel. Just search for "Lower Enigma Wash". In February of 2023 Utah began enforcement of a new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will pop up. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal. Good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.

Difficulty

A possible problem on this trail could be a cow or another machine in the wash going the opposite direction. Heavy runoff in the spring or a heavy rain will cause the wash to be filled with water.
