Trail Overview
Toms Canyon is the hardest trail in this trail park. It has multiple extremely difficult obstacles with large rocks on steep slopes, high, steep slick rock faces in excess of 20' with features that will flip a vehicle, and off-camber situations that test the most trained operator. If that is not enough there is a crack you will need to traverse that can, and has, flipped vehicles very easily. If you take this trail you should plan to use your winch and expect damage to your vehicle. For those that like this type of trail, this is a blast and after conquering this trail you will have some unique bragging rights. This is definitely a trail that should be attempted in a group as there is a lack of winching points on many of the obstacles. Please Note: HC is a set of defined trails, AKA, a trail park. These defined trails vary in difficulty to provide challenges for all types of vehicles and skill levels. It is also a great area to learn new skills on these trails. HC is NOT an open-riding area. You are expected to stay on the defined trails and under no circumstances create new trails. In addition, please do not build upon someone else's desecration of the area by riding on trails or bypasses that have been created by others. Please obey all BLM-posted signs. OnX asks everyone to support the Tread Lightly principles.

Difficulty
This trail presents multiple, and a wide variety of, challenges in a very short distance. The challenges come non-stop and they contain many semi-hidden or innocuous features that if hit can turn a difficult situation into a dangerous situation. This trail, like most of HC, has become much harder over time with usage and weathering. Some unauthorized bypasses have been added to this trail that are destroying why this trail exists. Please obey the BLM trail markings and follow the track in this posting to preserve the unique nature of this trail. Rated 11/24.
