Trail Overview

This is a fun couple of miles of single track in the Chimney Rock riding area that makes a loop off of another singletrack, and takes you out onto the rim of a mesa through a wooden fence. Starting from the south, it departs from the top of a mesa by going down a steep slope of sandstone stair steps, which are likely covered in sand, making them slippery. This obstacle is a bunch of small stair steps in a row for a 20-foot slope. The trail makes a couple of sharp turns through the desert, then enters a sandy wash next to giant rock walls, like a slot canyon. It weaves through the canyon right next to the rock walls. It's really scenic and unique. It comes up under a really cool towering rock formation, goes along the bottom of the rock wall, and comes up to a wooden fence on the rim of the mesa. You go through the fence, right along the edge of the mesa, and next to giant rocks. As you head north, there are more whoops and sand, and then it connects back to the other singletrack.
