Trail Overview

As you enter this full-width trail from the west end, there is a rock formation in front of you to the right. As you go past it and look back, it resembles a sleeping stegosaurus. This is another little-used trail, so the likelihood of encountering other people is low and the possibility of seeing wildlife is good, especially if you're here early in the day or later in the afternoon. Like many of the trails on the plateau, there are ponds fed by the numerous springs in this area. The wildflowers in mid-July are stunning. The trail is easy-no big rock obstacles at all, and there is very little erosion. When it's dry, it's a non-issue. It's an easy trail with beautiful scenery.
