Trail Overview
This trail offers an interesting mixed experience. The trail goes from gravel to rocky, to two tracks with grass in the middle, to two tracks with washed-out ruts in the middle, and back and forth. A couple of small ponds to break things up, and a few creek crossings. At the north end of the trail, it's glaringly obvious the damage that was done by the 2024 fires in the area. This area was one of the hardest hit, and it's almost otherworldly desolate. This trail can be used as an alternate to the Max Reid trail out of Fremont Indian State Park, or if you're wider than 50", you can turn at the Max Reid Junction and make it a larger loop.
