Trail Overview

This route provides plenty of beautiful scenery and a paved route from Highway 313. There are many fun trails that connect to Bartlett Wash Road that are more challenging, so it's a great place to stay put for several days. Stay on legal routes and camp in designated spots. Be sure to bring a portable toilet.

Difficulty

Easy. The road is generally in good condition, but can be rutted after heavy rainstorms. Low-lying area 1.5 miles south of Waypoint 02 is often wet and muddy. Flash floods possible.

History

There is a BLM information board on the right side of the road at 0.9 mile south of Waypoint 02 (pictured at right). It explains how this area has been heavily abused in the past and warns of closure to motorized vehicles if it continues. Please do your part in making sure this doesn't happen by staying on designated routes at all times.

Access Description

From the Colorado River bridge north of Moab, continue north 12.7 miles on Highway 191. Turn left on well-marked Mill Canyon Road.
