Trail Overview

This trail is full of amazing views and productive routes for hunting! This rides right through the Bannister WMA as well as right along the border of the Turkey Hill Wilderness. The Route is a collection of old caliche roads and gravel throughways that Sandy Creek and Harvey Creek tend to spill water onto.

Difficulty

This trail is filled with we gravel sections, mud-holes, caliche sections and its surrounded by thick forests - so be prepared for downed trees. The trail is not complex, but there are areas that can be a little sketchy during the moist times of the year. Because of the multitude of creeks that run up close to this route, the trail is always ready to be easily saturated, so be careful if your rig is on the heavier side.

History

This route perfectly borders the Southern and Western portion of a great wilderness area named Turkey Hill Wilderness, and that border is completed by the infamous Hwy 147.
