Trail Overview
Salt Fork Creek Section 1 follows along the historic fork of the Salt Fork, part of the Red River, that carved the Palo Duro Canyon. This section has medium sized rocks and areas to climb. Multiple lines through this area makes it an interesting thoroughfare to additional trails, such as Tin Tin, Kate the Great, and Middle Earth. This is a great area to be able to safely pose your vehicle and occupants for some of those amazing action shots.

Difficulty
This creek bed trail has varied routes from relatively easy to difficult lines within the creek bed. Many places have 2 or 3 lines defined. It can be rather dangerous in the rain. Salt Fork Section 1 has rocks from small to large throughout with sand and and red clay making up the creek bed. Correct tire placement will be important in parts of the creek as it is easy to get hung up on the rocks.
