Trail Overview

North-west Fence is a key perimeter road that connects the main entrance of General Sam's Offroad Park to some of the park's most popular attractions, including the bounty holes, swimming pond, and the West Fence trail. In dry weather, it's accessible to all vehicles, making it one of the most direct and scenic routes with great sunset views across the northwest boundary. When wet, the main hill section becomes muddy, and the clay will get slick but not unmanageable, requiring 4x4 capability. The trail is generally two vehicles wide, with a few widened spots for ease in passing.
