Trail Overview
Midyett Road is a short, lightly traveled forest road that runs through a wooded section of Sam Houston National Forest and terminates at a private property boundary. The road surface is primarily dirt with minor surface irregularities typical of limited-use access roads. A few minimal clearings are present along the route, offering very limited options for primitive dispersed camping where permitted. This road intersects the Little Lake Creek Loop Trail, resulting in shared use with hikers and other trail users near the crossing. In dry conditions, most high-clearance vehicles can navigate the route without issue. Expect limited cell service, low traffic, and no services along the road.

This route is rated Easy due to its short length and non-technical dirt surface. It primarily serves as an access road and is generally manageable for most high-clearance vehicles in dry conditions. Increased attention is recommended near the trail intersection and at the private property boundary, but no advanced driving skills are required.
