Lone Mountain Trail is a short gravel access road inside Big Bend National Park that leads directly to the Lone Mountain trailhead. The route is primarily gravel with some ruts and minor uneven sections along the way. As you approach the trailhead, you're treated to beautiful views of Lone Mountain rising prominently from the surrounding desert landscape, not far from the Panther Junction Visitor Center. The open terrain offers wide desert vistas and a clear look at this distinctive volcanic formation.
