Trail Overview

Deep Creek Trail is a narrow rocky trail that traverses through a narrow canyon riverbed. You will find many small to medium-sized rocks along this trail. This trail gives a front-row seat to the canyon's history with the geological layers of red Sandstone shot through with white veins of Satin Spar Gypsum. There are also large areas of cryptobiotic living soil that have taken up residence over the ground and rocks. This beautiful trail will make you believe you are alone in the canyon. The closeness of the walls blocks out noise, wind, and other distractions. Tire placement is important on this trail to prevent high centering, catching differentials on rocks, and possible damage.

Difficulty

This is a relatively easy trail with small to medium rocks, narrow passages and very little off-camber. The driver will encounter some sharp turns and many different options on lines to increase the difficulty of the trail. Rocks can vary in size and will be a constant on this trail. Choosing the correct line and tire placement will be important. Many rocks will require driving over rather than straddling as larger rocks could catch differentials or suspension components.
