Trail Overview

Hall Top climbs 1,500 feet over the five-mile route from the rhododendron shaded valley to the rocky peak above. The majority of the route is maintained, but some of the steeper sections are rocky and require a driver to slow down a bit or endure the bumpy ride. At the top, you'll find a fire tower from the 1930s. Although it's missing some of the lower steps, it's obvious that visitors still climb to the top levels frequently. The views of the surrounding Appalachian peaks are astounding.

Some fair sized ruts, worse than what was expected, mostly towards the top, but still nothing major to worry about. Lexus behind me turned around towards the top, but more likely to be safe over not being able to. i didn't bother to air down, but used sway bar disconnect to make it easier... enough ruts to cause some with less clearance minor issues
