Encompassing the entire Middle Atlantic coastal forests ecoregion and the Subtropical coniferous forest, this park offers a diverse range of trails. This particular trail provides access to the McConnell Landing on the Santee River, an ideal spot for launching a small kayak or motorized boat. A spacious camping area, complete with a designated fire ring and ample parking, awaits visitors atop the hill at the end of the road.
