Trail Overview

This is an out-and-back side trail that follows an easy, mostly single-lane gravel road through scenic sections of Sumter National Forest just over the Georgia/South Carolina line. There are a few washed areas along the route, especially midway and farther in, but most vehicles should still be able to travel the road without much difficulty in normal conditions. The area is quiet and remote, with minimal traffic and natural surroundings, making it ideal for a relaxing drive or light exploration. At the end of the trail, there is a large turnaround area that works well for picnicking or dispersed camping. Because of the remote location, cell phone service can be limited or unavailable, so it's best to plan and bring any necessary supplies for your trip.
