Trail Overview

Williams Trail is a seasonal access road in Tioga State Forest, generally open from Early October to Late February. From the mossy rocks and evergreen trees at lower elevation to the hardwoods and finally clearing at the peak, this is a beautiful drive up Hickory Ridge. It is a relatively wide shelf road with switchback turns. The trail leads to a clearing at the top with plenty of room to turn around. The road surface is primarily rocky dirt; there is limited maintenance, and no winter maintenance.
