Trail Overview
Trail 43 is a Most Difficult (Black) trail that takes riders down into an old limestone rock quarry, offering a unique historical ride. It earns its Black rating due to steeper grades, uneven terrain, and rocky surfaces that require controlled throttle and careful line choice--especially on the descent. Riders can still see cables used to ferry rock down the hill and drill marks in the stone from where charges were placed. The rocks are 400 million years old. Keep machines on the trail and off the footpaths. Be careful climbing up on the rocks, but there are some great photo ops in the old quarry!
