Trail 13G - Rock Run Recreation Area

Trail Overview

Trail 13G- A trail of Rock Run Recreation Area. Trail 13G is an original trail to the park. It should be able to be traversed by anyone on a motorcycle, ATV, or SxS with some skill. Trail 13G is just over 3/10ths of a mile in length and serves as a bypass of the switchbacks on the Outer Loop, connecting the Outer Loop to itself, and intersecting with several other trails along its entirety. At the Eastern end of this trail, you will encounter a quick change in elevation with the trail being steep with both some large embedded and loose rocks. The trail plateaus and crosses Trail 14 and then continues its climb in elevation before leveling out and opening up from the deep woods to more of an open woods with some views in locations. This section of the trail is fairly smooth with a few minor mud puddles, potentially. Parts of this trail are cut into the hillside, so there is a drop-off on one side of the trail and a hillside on the other. This trail is open to bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. This is a two-way trail and offers a different experience riding it both directions. Trail driven and documented in July 2025.

Difficulty

This is an uneven, rutted dirt trail with loose rocks, erosion steep grades. You may encounter some larger loose rocks up to 18 inches. The trail is one vehicle wide with limited places to pass.
