Trail Overview
A standard national forest service road in the southeastern part of the Allegheny National Forest. It connects Owls Nest in the north, at the intersection of FS 135, to Arroyo Road to the south at Buehler Corner north of the ghost town of Arroyo. Along the road is the parking area and the Buehler Trailhead for the Timberline ATV trail. It also runs by the Ruffed Grouse habitat management area south of Owls Nest. The Ruffed Grouse is Pennsylvania's state bird. ATVs are not permitted on this road, but the trail does cross this road near Owls Nest, so look out for ATV traffic at the designated crossing. A scenic and bumpy ride through this part of the forest. As with most of this area, be sure to have fuel as stations are few and far between.

History
This road was affected by wind damage from a 2012 tornado, and some fallen trees along the roadside remain as evidence of that event. Like many roads in the Allegheny region, it has served -- and continues to serve -- as access for timber, oil, and gas operations, in addition to its current recreational use.
