Narrow Gauge Road is primarily a graded gravel road with sections of dirt. It is an easy ride in the summer months, however, there is no winter maintenance. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road will become rutted and harder to travel on. Narrow Gauge Road is within Tiadaghton State Forest. While Narrow Gauge Road is not officially a dead-end road. It ends at Trout Run Road South, which is a dead-end road, therefore, you must come back out on Narrow Gauge Road.

Difficulty

Narrow Gauge Road is an easy ride in the summer months, however there is no winter maintenance. During times of rain, snow, and ice the road will become harder to travel on. It can become rutted in the spring thaw and rainy seasons. There will be water in the ruts and they will become slick and muddy.

Access Description

Narrow Gauge Road is a west to east road that is access off of PA State Route 44 on the west and ends at Trout Run Road South on the east. Trout Run Road South dead ends at Pine Creek so you must come back out to PA State Route 44 via Narrow Gauge Road.
