Trail Overview

Benson Road is primarily a graded gravel road. It is an easy ride in the summer months, however, there is no winter maintenance. During times of rain, snow, and ice, the road can become rutted and harder to travel on. The western half of Benson Road is within Sproul, and the eastern half is within Tiadaghton State Forest.

It can become washed out and rutted in the spring thaw and rainy seasons. There can be water in the ruts, and they will become slick and muddy.

Access Description

Benson Road is primarily an east-west running road. It is accessed on the east from Pennsylvania State Route 44 north of Lock Haven in Lycoming County and ends at the intersection with County Line Road and Right Hand Young Womans Creek Road on the west.
