Trail Overview
Snowshoe Flat Trail is a 2.9-mile figure-eight loop with multiple access points. One common approach begins at the intersection with Red Rock - Trail 41, where a short distance in, an optional hill climb branches off and connects to Trail 1. Signage at this hill climb states "No Jeeps." Continuing along Trail 40 leads to the start of the figure-eight. Either direction will keep riders on Trail 40. The north side of the loop is fast and flowing with some muddy sections, while the south side is rockier and more technical. Navigation through the loop can be confusing due to multiple intersections, with signage often indicating Trail 40 in several directions. Trail 40 is open year-round. An Oregon State ATV operating permit is required for all vehicles inside the park.
