Fern Gully #49

Trail Overview

Fern Gully #49 is a steep and narrow single track descending from north to south through dense forest. The trail follows a barely visible spine route, offering excellent views when not socked in to the trees, and remains extremely tight throughout. Deep ruts develop into technical drop-offs near the bottom of the descent, where embedded roots and stumps require careful maneuvering. Expect shelfy side-hilling with significant exposure as it drops down to the south entrance. This trail drops almost 700 feet in elevation in .8 miles.
