Trail Overview
This well-maintained gravel trail begins by leading past charming smallholdings before it gradually enters an active logging area, where logging vehicles frequently travel at speed and caution is necessary. The route broadens into several ascents and descents and can become corrugated in certain sections. The surrounding area is often damp, with drainage channels evident along the road, and there are clear signs of recent fires followed by areas of replanted pine. Numerous side trails branch from the main track; however, most are secured by yellow pole gates that must remain closed, although some trails with open gates invite exploration. Despite its many scenic features, this off-road trail does not provide dispersed campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal and water supply, even though reliable cell service is available throughout.
